The Darnstitch is a concept that was developed by a local tailor in Kingston 13. The stitch was a necessary improvise to prevent fraying at the edge of fabrics, because he did not have an overlock machine to serge the seams.
For FW22 we have used this stitch on several garments such as this leather shirt jacket. The Item is unlined, has two front pockets, a high collar and closes with large industrial snaps. The piece can be worn as an outerwear piece, or be layered under a jacket or coat to be worn as a long leather shirt.
Made of 100% 3 oz soft washed cowhide with a slightly matte finish.
