Protology is the study of first things. An archetype is the primal or typical example of a thing. The Protological Archetype range of garments are a series in which the garments are reduced to the bare essence of the item, representing each product category. There is a pant, a shirt, a coat, a jacket, a hoodie and so on....each garment reduced to it's essential components and form the foundation from which other variants in different complexity or simplicity will follow.
This example of the concept was realized as a pair of pants with a new method of cutting, reducing the garment to the minimum seams necessary without compromising the fit or look of the product both the side seam and the back yoke seam has been eliminated and the pants have a single inseam. The pockets are cut and sewn directly into the body of the pants, finished at both ends with a darn stitch detail.
This is the jeans variant of the pants and is made in a silk + linen blend that was originally white but is now overdyed black
