Protology is the study of first things. An Archetype being the primal or typical example of a thing. The Protological Archetype range of garments are a series in which the garments are reduced to the bare essence of the item, representing each product category. So there is a Pant, a shirt, a Coat, a Jacket, a Hoodie and so on....Each garment is reduced to it's essential components and form the foundation from which other variants in different complexity or simplicity will follow.
This example of the concept, developed as a coat, is a new concept of cutting where the garment is reduced to the minimum seams necessary without compromising the fit or look of the product .
The collar of the coat is cut onto the body, the blazer has a single seam running from the upper back across the sides and to the front that forms the two front pocket of the garment. the shape of the blazer at side and center back is achieved with a series of darts placed at strategic positions that allows for better fitment, range of motion and simplicity.
the sleeve is a one piece constructed sleeve that retains all of the features of a traditional coat sleeve but simplified according to the concept.
The coat has a single back vent, two inner chest pockets and closes at center front with a concealed pocket and natural horn buttons.
